LORRIE PETERSON is a graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, Class of 1979. She enlisted in the United States Navy and completed 24 years of honorable service.
During that time, she was assigned to 11 duty stations which included her selection to the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon and assignments to two ships, the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) and USS SIMON LAKE (AS 33). Those assignments took her to various parts of the world where she enjoyed sightseeing and meeting people of various cultures.
Lorrie received numerous commendations and awards for her professionalism and dedication to duty which contributed to her rise to the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E-7). Early in her military career, she quickly understood and felt firsthand the many benefits of massage therapy.
Lorrie graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute, Washington, DC. She is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She is certified in various massage modalities such as; Medical Massage, Hot Stones, CranioSacral, Ashiatsu, Aromatherapy, Prenatal, and Manual Lymph Drainage for Lymphedema clients with side effects from Cancer surgery.
Lorrie retired from the U.S. Navy September 2003. She returned home and on January 17, 2004 established Therapeutic Massage Center, LLC to
promote good health and well-being through Massage Therapy.
Awarded the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Businesswoman of the Year 2023.
Born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Amiri believes his love for Massage Therapy was developed and nurtured through the love for his family and 7 pets.
Although he was not professionally trained, Amiri enjoyed performing Massage Therapy on his mother, father and brother. It was then he realized that helping others feel better through touch was going to be an extremely important part of his life.
Currently, Amiri is a student at the Raphael O. Wheatley Skill Center attending the Medical Massage Training Course and completing his Massage Therapy Externship at Therapeutic Massage Center helping to promote good health and well-being.
Born on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands Shay-lin is a student at the Raphael O. Wheatley Skill Center. On May 29, 2024, she will be graduating with a certification in Medical Massage Therapy. Shay-Lin believes her love for Massage Therapy was guided by the Most High God and her family.
Shay-Lin loved seeing the effects and wonderful benefits of performing touch therapy on her mother, father, sister and young son. She remembers the days her father would instruct her to apply pressure to trigger points and walk on his back. Those days were not in vain as they helped to shape her path to become a true believer in Holistic Care, Natural Medicine and Massage Therapy.
