YOUR MASSAGE THERAPISTS

LORRIE PETERSON is a graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, Class of 1979.  

Upon graduation, she enlisted in the United States Navy and completed 24 years of honorable service.  

During that time, she was assigned to 11 duty stations which included her selection to the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon and assignments to two Naval ships, the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) and USS SIMON LAKE (AS 33). Those assignments took her to various parts of the world where she enjoyed sightseeing and meeting people of various cultures. 


Lorrie received numerous commendations and awards for her professionalism and dedication to duty which contributed to her rise to the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E-7). Early in her military career, she quickly understood and felt firsthand the many benefits of massage therapy. 


Lorrie graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute, Washington, DC. She is a Nationally Certified Licensed Massage Therapist and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She is certified in various massage modalities such as Medical Massage, Hot Stones, CranioSacral, Ashiatsu, Aromatherapy, Prenatal, and Manual Lymph Drainage for Lymphedema clients with side effects from Cancer surgery. In addition, she is a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.


Lorrie retired from the U.S. Navy September 2003. She returned home and on January 17, 2004, and established Therapeutic Massage Center, LLC to promote good health and well-being through Massage Therapy. 


In 2022, Lorrie achieved a milestone and became a published author. Her book Spiritual Dietary Consciousness - 5 Keys To Taking Control of Your Own Diet now with God's help can be found on AMAZON, Medicine Shoppe, VI Christian Ministries and Supply Resources, Inc. Lorrie has one son, Kyle and two grandsons, Kayston and Bentley.

BINTA A. PETERSON, B.Msc. Certified Reflexologist

Binta is a graduate of Ivanna Edora Kean High School, Class of 1977, a Life & Nutrition Coach, Yoga Instructor and Certified Reflexologist. Her favorite phrase is "you don't have to tell me anything about yourself; I can tell everything from your feet."

MELONY C. DAWES, Student Medical Massage Therapy

  

Ms. Dawes has dedicated over 25 years to education, first serving the children of Jamaica and now continuing exclusively in the United States Virgin Islands of shaping young lives with passion, purpose, patience, and love-filled leadership. As she continues this meaningful work, Ms. Dawes also steps boldly into a new calling, Medical Massage Therapy at Raphael O. Wheatley Skill Center.


Melony believes her gift of touch is a powerful pathway to healing restoration and renewal. In each massage therapy session, her goal is to uncoil the tension of the mind, unwind the knots of the body and awaken the soul with calm to restore the connection between mind, body, soul and spirit. As a diligent, personable compassionate and charismatic student intern, she brings confidence, intention and unmistakable DAWESOME energy to every session – where skill meets soul, and every touch leaves you feeling reinvigorated and reborn.

KAMEL DAVID, Student Medical Massage Therapy

Kamel David of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School and has built a diverse professional background in hospitality, aviation and food and beverage.


Ms. David's passion for service and helping others has led her to further her education. Currently, Kamel is enrolled in the Medical Massage Therapy Program at Ralphael O. Wheatley Skill Center, where she is working towards building a career in health and wellness.
